5.0The only feedback I have is I wish I found it sooner. With Sugar Sense, I am able to see where my number is trending. The alerts when I am 90 or 80 saying I’ll be low in 20 minutes is a game changer. That has helped me stay in range more and helped me not correct too soon.

5.0It has changed the way I manage my diabetes. I use a Dexcom ONE+ sensor and this app has given me the fast rise/fall and the urgent low soon alerts. 5.0Being blind I have been looking for something very reliable and easy to use to hear my blood glucose levels. I linked my CGM and completed the step by step setup, even set up to use with Alexa. I love that every time my CGM updates I hear the update automatically without having to open my phone and navigate the screen readers. Life simplified. I am using it on my Android phone. The only thing I would like is to have options of voices that can be used.

5.0I can see my blood glucose readings on my watch and I can put a chart on my phone lock screen, meaning I can stay always up to date. In addition it will send and receive to Health, a feature I desperately wanted for the FreeStyle Libre.

The honest limits
The points people raise most often, in our own words, so nobody installs the app expecting something it does not do.
- It is a companion, not a medical device. Sugar Sense displays data from your CGM and must never be used for insulin dosing or other treatment decisions. Keep your official CGM app and its alarms on.
- It needs a cloud pathway. FreeStyle Libre readings arrive through LibreLinkUp, Dexcom readings through Dexcom Share and Nightscout readings through your own site. No internet means no new readings, and a reading can trail the sensor by a few minutes.
- The core is free, some extras are paid. Live glucose, graphs, statistics, the logbook, every alert, family following and Apple Health are free. The Apple Watch and Wear OS apps, Live Activity, AI insights, the emergency call and PDF reports are Premium. The pricing section has the full split.
- The review count is still modest. The iPhone app reached the App Store in June 2025 and the Android app reached Google Play in August 2026, so the ratings are counted in dozens, not thousands. We show the real number rather than a padded one.
Not to be confused with
The Sugar Sense on this site is a CGM app made by Sugar Sense OÜ in Tallinn, Estonia. It has no connection to any dietary supplement, pill or glycemic-support formula sold under a similar name, and none to the non-invasive glucose gadgets sold on marketplaces under a similar name. If a review you found online is about a bottle or a wristband, it is about a different product. This site, the App Store listing and the Google Play listing are the only official homes of the Sugar Sense CGM app.

Is Sugar Sense legit?
Yes. Sugar Sense is a real app from Sugar Sense OÜ, a registered company in Tallinn, Estonia, built by a founder who has lived with type 1 diabetes for more than 12 years. It has been on the App Store since June 2025 and on Google Play since August 2026, and every review quoted on this page is a real store review. It is not a medical device and it does not replace your CGM app or its alarms.
Is Sugar Sense free?
Yes. Live glucose, graphs, statistics, your logbook, Apple Health, Health Connect and every core alert, including the predictive heading-low alert and custom thresholds, are free. A Premium subscription adds the AI features, the Apple Watch and Wear OS apps, Live Activity and Dynamic Island, and emergency calling.
Does Sugar Sense replace my CGM app or medical device?
No. Sugar Sense is a companion app that displays data from your CGM. It is not a medical device and should not be used to make treatment decisions. Always follow your CGM and your healthcare provider’s guidance.
Where can I read or leave a review?
