At SecureAuth 2FA, we are fully committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining transparency about how your data is handled. 1. Information We Collect
SecureAuth 2FA is designed with privacy and security in mind. Our app operates entirely offline and is structured to avoid collecting or storing any personally identifiable information (PII).
We do NOT collect:
- No names, email addresses, or usernames.
- No IP addresses, device identifiers, or geolocation data.
- No biometric data or usage analytics.
Locally Stored Information: The app stores Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) secrets locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any external server, including ours.
2. Offline Functionality
SecureAuth 2FA is fully functional offline. It does not connect to the internet or send any data to remote servers. All operations, including code generation and account setup, occur entirely on your device. You are the sole owner and custodian of your data.
3. Use of Device Permissions
We request limited access to specific device features solely for providing core functionality:
- Camera Access: Used exclusively to scan QR codes for setting up new 2FA accounts. No image or video data is stored or transmitted.
- Biometric/Authentication Features: If available, you can optionally enable biometric or PIN protection to secure access to the app. These protections are handled by your device’s OS and are not accessible by us.
4. Security Measures
We take security seriously and employ best practices to protect your data:
- All TOTP secrets are stored using your device's secure local storage and, where available, are encrypted.
- The app supports optional app-level passcodes or biometric authentication to prevent unauthorized access.
- No data is backed up to our servers or to the cloud unless you choose to do so through your device's own backup services (e.g., iCloud or Google Drive).
5. No Advertising or Third-Party Tracking
We do not include any advertisements in our app. We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking services, or cookies. You are not being tracked, profiled, or monitored in any way while using our app.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
All data created in SecureAuth 2FA is retained locally on your device. If you uninstall the app or delete your phone’s data, all authentication entries will be lost unless you have made your own manual backups.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our application is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided any personal information, we will take steps to delete such information immediately.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or our practices. We encourage users to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.
Changes become effective upon posting to this page. If material changes are made, we will notify users by updating the date at the top of the policy or through in-app notifications.
